This 2010 documentary celebrates the 50th anniversary of the novel. An inspiring and insightful look at the author, the book, the film, and the impact. Oprah Winfrey, Wally Lamb, Lee Smith, and Scott Turow are among the media and literary commentators on the book. Although the author didn’t grant an interview, her friends and 90-year-old sister did. The film also features interviews with people who made the famous movie of the novel. Suitable for all ages.

Please join us for the closing program to Milton Reads! 2012. It will feature a talk and dialogue with U.S Attorney Carmen Ortiz, a gospel choir concert, and a reception to mingle and share thoughts, experiences and ideas for next year!

I think the idea of a town-wide summer reading program for adults followed by the wonderful activities mentioned above is brilliant – and I hope it will be a new tradition each year. I’m happy to help in any way the Friends need.
